About Milton

Not far from the hustle and bustle of the Brisbane CBD is an eclectic mix of cafes, dining, designer boutiques, commercial districts, modern apartments and old Queenslanders. The quiet suburb of Milton stretching back from the banks of the Brisbane River has a great deal to offer.

Milton’s Park Road symbolises the start of Brisbane’s love affair with boutique cafe culture and is all about good food and dining. This little corner of Europe is iconic for its replica Eiffel Tower surrounded by elegant restaurants, fashion houses, gift shops and cafes wafting with the aroma of fresh coffee. Walk down here any night of the week to find quite a bustling community of diners.

Just around the corner Suncorp Stadium is home to the Brisbane Broncos, QLD Reds, Roar, Socceroos, and the Kangaroos. Further down Milton Road atop the next hill is the XXXX Ale House & Brewery where you can tour the famous brewery and sample some classic Queensland beer.

Over on the river side of Milton you can catch a beautiful view of the Brisbane bridges at night as the city lights reflect off the water, occasionally broken up by the city cats as they casually stream past. Go for a stroll along the river walk and stop in for a beer at the Heritage-listed Regatta Hotel, one of Brisbane’s oldest pubs and fresh from a massive refurbishment following the Brisbane floods. The new face of the river side bar is one of boating history and a sophisticated appreciation of beer.
