Attractions

Milton has such a mix of historic and modern buildings, parks, sporting grounds and just general places of interest that there are plenty of things to do with an afternoon, a day off or the entire weekend. Take a look through some of what’s on offer.

Brisbane RiverWalk

Brisbane RiverWalk is made up of over 26km of river-side walkways all along the Brisbane River.

The Milton portion of these paths runs parallel to Coronation Drive mere metres from the river banks and is divided between bike and walking paths. Go for a run, ride, walk or simply sit at one of the public seats and watch the City Cats cruise up and down the river.

Suncorp Stadium

The stadium is Queensland’s premier rectangular sporting facility and outdoor concert venue. The field is home to the Brisbane Broncos, Queensland Reds and Brisbane Roar teams while also playing host to State of Origin, Football Internationals and even concerts to the likes of U2. A tour of the stadium will show you areas usually reserved for elite athletes and media personalities while going through the history of the site as a cemetery up to the redevelopment into a world-class facility. A little known fact is that the stadium sits on what was main cemetery for the pioneering town.

XXXX Ale House

The XXXX Brewery is more than a brewery; the Ale House hosts brewery tours and operates as a function room.

Come in for a Brewery Tour so you can experience a taste of the science, art and 130 years of history that goes into making Queensland’s favourite beer. A tour gets you a colourful history lesson, a walk through the heritage listed site, a lesson on pouring the perfect beer and a taste of some of the freshest brews.

Park Road Precinct

Park Road or 'Savoir Faire' heralded the beginning of Al Fresco dining in Brisbane opening in 1988 which coincided with the World Expo '88. The street is complete with a mini Eiffel Tower, cobblestones and wicker chairs for espresso and people watching. The area continues to delight today with French, Italian and many more gourmet eateries, sophisticated wine bars and fashion boutiques. Locals walk or drive their Ferraris down to enjoy cosmpolitan strip shopping and restaurants.

The Regatta Hotel

The Regatta Hotel sits grandly on Coronation Drive overlooking the Brisbane River and has been a favourite watering hole since 1874. The Regatta may officially lie in suburb of Toowong but many Milton residents would call her their local.

Pop inside the iconic, iron-laced verandahs and enjoy a cool beer and counter tea or fine wine and aged steak at The Boatshed Restaurant.

Q-Masters

Just opposite Suncorp Stadium is Queensland’s leading cue sports venue. With 18 tables, low fees, plasma screens and great music Q’ees is a relaxed social environment for members and the public.
