Milton's Polish Markets

The Polonia Polish Markets held at the Polish Club in Milton are a fantastic way to immerse yourself into Polish culture and Polish food. Every second Friday from Midday you can follow the people in the know that are carrying eskies and freezer bags into the depths of the club.

It’s a no-nonsense market that is essentially Polish from the food to the Polish folk tunes. There is quite a lot to take in, especially if you aren’t well versed in Polish food but the space is air-conditioned so you’ll be comfortable as you explore each and every trestle table of goodies.

There’s pierogi to take home for dinner, vodka to wash it down with and Polish donuts to finish on. There’s also a host of intense Rye breads, pickled cabbage, marinated mushrooms, salami, sausages and other cuts of meat popular in Eastern Europe.

The wares are made in kitchens around Milton by the very people you are buying from and many of them have brought these recipes over from their homeland. It’s a great way to get a taste for another country without having to travel out of your own suburb.

And with a bag of pierogi and a bottle of flavoured vodka your Friday night will go just swimmingly!

Check here to make sure you have the correct Friday.
